Ruby-red wine with garnet highlights. Full-bodied, it invites you to drink with its fresh appeal, achieved through an ideal combination of fruit and spice. Hints of black pepper precede, without overpowering, a pleasant bouquet of small fruits. Teroldego cherry soon gives way to a dense tapestry of black fruits, such as blackberry and blueberry.

Kino Nero is a wine that tells the story of Father Kino (Father Eusebio Francesco Chini) and his connection with the de Vescovi Ulzbach family. Recognized as one of the Founding Fathers of the State of Arizona, he is the only Italian-Tyrolean whose bust is on display at the Famedio in Washington (United States of America).
Born in 1645 in Segno in Val di Non, he spent important years in Mezzocorona in Campo Rotaliano, at the de Vescovi Ulzbach family farm. Here he met Vigilio de Vescovi, his Spiritual Father, and his brother Ludovico, from whom he learned the secrets of the land.
After joining the Jesuit Order, in 1681 he received orders to leave for the Americas, where he contributed to the independence of the local natives by teaching them cultivation techniques. Because of his clothing and his sun-darkened face, he became known to everyone as “the Black Farmer”.
In the glass, the grape varieties become a map of his journey: Groppello di Revò (Val di Non), characteristic of Father Kino’s area of origin; Teroldego, the prince of Campo Rotaliano; and finally Merlot, a variety also grown in the areas of his Missions.
